This is a day to honor nutcrackers!          EVENT HOURS: 11am to 4pm

Kids, Make a Nutcracker

Kids can put their creativity to the test by designing and making a nutcracker of the very own! Start right now sho you can be sure to meet the deadline of June 15, 2017

Just remember... it must be your own design. According to the child's age, the acceptable level of parental/guardian assistance with the construction will vary.

Great Fun

Along with our normal museum activities such as going on a nutcracker hunt, and winning a pin when you complete a hunt.  Little ones will receive a nutcracker color sheet to take home.

Visitors on Nutcracker Day willl also be able to actually crack a nut with a variety of different style nutcrackers.


Kids Love Nutcrackers

Welcome to the Fourth Annual Nutcracker Day!

This is a fun event that is dedicated to the wonderful world of Nutcrackers. We love to bring attention to them by dedicating a whole day to them! You can learn about the history of nutcrackers and see over 6000 nutcrackers dating back to Roman times. There will be opportunity to crack hazel nuts with a variety of nutcrackers--the kind your grandma and grandpa used!!! A museum poster will be given to each family in attendance and children can win a pin by going on a nutcracker hunt.
